Newborn Photography in Lakeway Texas with Kristen Beccia Photography

So you're currently experiencing the joy of making a tiny little human and are currently researching the best photographers in the Austin area, awesome! Let me walk you  through what a studio newborn session looks like when you are working with me.

Our friendship is going to start from the second we get a chance to connect and talk about what you are looking for in a session and what you are looking for in terms of prints to hang on the walls or an album to pass down for generations. Once we've selected the session that best fits your needs we will continue to communicate over the course of your pregnancy, not just after you deliver. We will be talking about clothing choices, color choices for baby, go over if we are doing sibling images and parent images and so much more prior to delivery to ensure we are creating a session that is crafted just for you.

Once you do deliver I ask that you let me know within those first 24-48 hours so that we can find a date on the calendar within those first 7-10 days that works for both of us. All newborn studio sessions are done Monday through Friday with a start time of 9 or 10 AM and can last anywhere from 1-3 hours in length.

So we've picked out your color options, picked your date and your session is approaching. What should you expect now? I will send you a prep email a few days before with some suggestions on feeding, bathing, clothes to bring baby in, etc to help with a smooth session. You will arrive at your scheduled time and we will start your session with family pictures (if applicable) first, then siblings, then break if needed and then jump back in for individual pictures of baby. I do this so that if you do have older children that need to head back to school or a spouse/partner that needs to return to work they have the ability to do so.

I work at the pace of the baby so I will stop throughout the session for feedings and diaper changes but still try to maximize our time in our session to get everything that you've hoped for. Please know that as a mom of three kids, one still in diapers, I am not only skilled in newborn photography and safety when handling a newborn but also with rocking, feeding, etc. and will do my best to ensure your baby is comfortable and happy at all times. If we are an hour into your session and baby is not consolable after being changed, fed, burped and wrapped I will make the decision to call the session for the day and have you come back within the next couple days to try again.

After our session I will check in on you and send you a sneak peek from your session, because who cannot wait to share something so squishy and cute! Within 2-3 weeks, unless otherwise notified, you will receive your gallery and directions on how to pick out your images for your included products.

Once products are ready for pickup I will give you a call to set up a time for you to come by the studio. At that time if you are ready we can also set up your next session to capture a 3, 6, 9 month or 1 year milestone, it is never to early to book!
